Network Security L2 Admin (WAF)
Location: Bangalore
Job Description
o Device Status Monitoring.
o Device Configuration Management & Fine Tuning.
o Comfortably delivers solo-based work or acts as a point for operations.
o Managed Patches and updates.
o Perform Change & Problem Management.
o Device Performance and Availability Management.
o Troubleshooting of firewall in case of any problems identified or reported.
o Perform recovery of device configuration in case of disasters.
o Problem management for qualified incidents.
o Creates WAF rules/signatures to mitigate threats and implements best practices
o Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases.
o Reporting network status to key stakeholders.
o Expertise across a variety of security products including firewalls, URL filtering, information security and virus protection.
o Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installation.
o Cloud WAF, F5 WAF, understanding of HTTP, HTTPS app security, SSL & TLS protocol, URL whitelisting, NAT, Top OWASP attack, Basic cloud understanding.
o Day-to-day operation for Virtual WAF (preferably F5 WAF (BIG IP /ASM) and management using BIG IQ) in a Cloud environment.
o Cloud Native WAF configuration for Malicious Source detection and blocking.
Qualifications/Skills:
· 2.5+ years of hands-on experience in WAF/ Cloudflare & F5 tools and with a similar solution.
· Knowledge of managing administration activity on WAF.
· An understanding of information security, network security, operating systems, software development, database systems and information technology is beneficial.
· Diploma/ Degree in IT/ Computing related field CompTIA (or similar) certifications are preferred such as A+, Security+, and Network+.
· Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, or related field OR equivalent work experience in a technical discipline related to Information Technology that demonstrates technical competency.
· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills are required.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills are preferred.
· Must be highly flexible and adaptable to change.
