A leading energy firm is recruiting for a Transport Coordinator (Oil and Gas) job to join their team in Papua. In this job, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the transportation activities during the early stage of construction.
About the Transport Coordinator (Oil and Gas) Role:
Reporting to the Field Support Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the movement of goods, equipment, and personnel to and from the construction site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement transportation plans to ensure efficient movement of materials, equipment, and personnel to and from the construction site
- Coordinate with various internal teams, such as procurement, logistics, and construction, to determine transportation requirements and priorities
- Liaise with external transportation providers, including trucking companies, shipping agents, and airlines, to secure necessary transportation services
- Manage transportation-related documentation, including permits, customs documentation, and shipping manifests
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements
To succeed in this Transport Coordinator (Oil and Gas) role, you must have excellent organisational and time management skills to prioritise multiple transportation activities.
Key Requirements:
- Graduated in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred
- At least 10 years of experience in transport coordinator position
- Proven experience in transportation coordination, preferably within the LNG or construction industry
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Readiness to be placed in Papua
